Canadian Niagara Hotels / Fallsview Waterpark Project
Surface Design Systems was contracted to remove the initial installation of a dry pack mix design in the new change rooms and shower areas under construction. Surface Design Systems installed Mapei HCT bonded topping technology to achieve a positive flow to all drains in all directions as specified 2 1/2" from all walls to a 0" termination at the drains.
The system included a positive side water-proofing installed over a shot blasted surface followed by the specialty concrete topping and self leveling portland cement base underlayment to achieve a flat smooth surface that exhibited a positive slope to specification.
As illustrated below, the fine lines of the finished product ( Ultra Flooring ) exhibit the qualities of this proprietary system installed by Surface Design Systems.
